My Passion & Interests

Cross-Cultural Traveler

I have travelled to 27 countries and in many of these countries, I have visited multiple times, especially Kenya and India. As a result of travel opportunities, I became a linguist, and over time, I gained proficiency in Spanish, learnt elementary-level French, Portuguese, Hindi, Bengali, and Swahili to interact with locals.

In my middle school, I started working on my Travel book series—Unravelling the World. My first book, Unravelling the World: Adventures Across Continents, was published in early 2025, and my second, Unravelling the World: Echoes Across Hemispheres, was published in summer 2026. My travel memoir series captures my experiences exploring different countries and cultures around the world. All the proceeds from the book sale of my books will be used to purchase new books at the new library established in summer 2025 at the remote rural school, Nkasioki Primary School, in Kenya.

Indigenous Researcher

My interest in Indigenous history and culture started when I visited the Plymouth plantation site in 2022, where I witnessed an exhibit of dwellings (Wetu), traditional medicine, and artifacts. I worked with an Anthropology & human geography professor at Massasoit Community College and a history teacher at Sharon High School.

I have attended Westport's annual River Day event every year. In these events, over the years, I met with prominent Indigenous leaders, including Mr. Hartman Deetz, the leader Chief 2 Running Elk (direct descendant of Paul Cuffee), Mr. Thomas Green, and Mr. Annawon Weede. I participated in different cultural activities, including building traditional Indigenous shelters, involved in music and dance performances by the Eastern Medicine Singers, Algonquin Language Culture Keepers. They explained to me more about the Algonquin culture and some words of their language, called the “Massachusetts Dialect."

During summer 2024 and 2026, I shadowed an archaeologist, Professor Robert Goodby. I got first-hand experience in the fields of archaeology and research by using different technology to dig up test sites and find different artifacts from the Abenaki tribe, as well as learn a lot about archaeological fieldwork from Professor Goodby and his highly knowledgeable team.

In the last few years, I have published three research papers in peer-reviewed high school journals and an article in the Sharon High School Math and Science Journal. I presented my work at local library.

Journalist

My interest in broadcasting and interviewing senior citizen, Maasai tribal members, and Indigenous leaders instilled a passion for me to join my school's newspaper and interview community leaders and alumni. I joined SHS Talon Club as a correspondent in my sophomore year. My first article on the Sharon Swim team was appreciated by SHS community.

I am an accompanied pianist for Sharon High school select choir. I was a part of selective Marimba band and played in different venues. I also attended week long Marimba workshop during 2023 summer at UMASS Amherst. Further, I have attended Neighbor Jazz School in Connecticut. During Jazz ensembles, I was a pianist and played with Jazz musicians under the guidance of renowned Jazz drummer Jesse Hammen II.

Global Outreach Volunteer

Matanya's Hope

In 2023, I was introduced to Michelle Stark, founder of Matanya’s Hope, a nonprofit organization focused on transforming the lives of underprivileged children in Kenya. I had the opportunity to visit the students at Nkasioki Primary School in remote Maasai village and observed their struggle with basic educational necessities. Despite their eagerness to learn, challenges such as a lack of proper nutrition, clean water, adequate hygiene facilities, and access to medical help challenged their ability to thrive academically.

Inspired by the resilience and dreams of these children, I decided to create a solution!

I also started interviewing Matanya's Hope successful alumni whose lives were impacted through sponsoring and how they are contributing to society and supporting Matanya's Hope's various initiatives. I publish their interview and stories in quarterly Newsletter!

Through my efforts by tutoring children in my community and Kumon, setting up a GoFundMe campaign, applying for grants, and creating newsletters, I raised over $20,000 in the last four years to fund several critical projects at Nkasioki Primary School and poor families in rural Maasai Maara region. The money supported the establishment of a porridge program in Fall 2023, ensuring that children received at least one nutritious meal daily which school increased school enrollment from 300 to 550 students.

Since 2023, my efforts supported installation of clean water tanks, gender-neutral toilets at the school and a permanent kitchen shelter in 2024, securing wheelchairs for two students with mobility challenges, enabling them to attend school more regularly. Further, in 2025, with support of Sharon Library Trustees and book drive from Cottage Street elementary school, I established a library at Nkasioki Primary School.

Voluntering For Seniors

I joined a nonprofit organization, Volunteering for Seniors Inc. (VFS), based in Easton, Massachusetts, in 2022. As a youth volunteer, I have visited seniors at their homes and rehabilitation centers over the past four years to spend time with them and read books. I have organized and led several technology sessions and events, including the first annual “Senior Walkathon” in fall 2024 and geriatric podiatry workshops at different senior centers in the community. I volunteered at various VFS events for seniors, including art workshops, health fairs, games, group dances, and fundraising events. I create periodic newsletters for VFS and have conducted senior interviews since 2023, sharing their life experiences as blogs on the VFS website (Link here).

My involvement with Sharon Rotary began in 2024. I’ve had the opportunity to develop meaningful connections with Rotary members, and became first high school Rotarian at Sharon Rotary. I took on new initiatives including starting Interact Club at Sharon High school, where I coordinate different volunteering efforts with Rotary International and SHS students.

I have been a tutor with the nonprofit School on Wheels (SOW) since 2023. I have visited and worked with children in shelters in Brockton, Massachusetts. Additionally, through SOW, I tutor high school subjects to teenage mothers at Ruth House in Brockton, supporting them as they work toward completing their high school diplomas. I also supported a Latina mother in improving her English as she adjusted to her new life in the United States.

Karateka

I began practicing Martial Arts (Karate) at the age of 4, starting in the Tiny Tigers class. I earned my Junior Black Belt in age 12 and took on a leadership role as a Junior Sensei. When I was 15, I earned my Teen Black Belt. Today, with over a decade of training behind me, Martial Arts continues to influence how I approach challenges, set goals, and carry myself in everyday life.

Swimmer

I first touched the water when I was just 5 years old. By 3rd grade, I joined the Sharon Sea Eagles, our town’s swim team, and swam with them for seven years. In high school, I began lane coaching with the Sea Eagles. I worked closely with younger swimmers, helping them improve their technique, build confidence in the water, and enjoy the sport. During my sophomore year, I joined the Sharon High School swim team.

Entrepreneur

I participated in TYE (TiE Young Entrepreneurs) during 2023–2024, I gained invaluable insight into the many facets of entrepreneurship. At the TYE Boston Pitch Competition, UV Shield, the product created by me and my team to combat skin cancer using a biodegradable patch connected to a mobile app, was honored with the Best Lean Canvas Business Model Award.

The strong foundation I built through TYE, especially in business model development and real-world problem solving, directly contributed to my success in DECA club at the high school.

In 2024–2025, I returned to TYE as a Co-Director, mentoring new teams and helping them brainstorm, refine their ideas, and overcome challenges. Since 2025, I have been invited at annual TIECON to meet business and community leaders across Massachusetts.
